How To Make Sweetened Condensed Milk Substitute

If you don't have sweetened condensed milk on hand, this simple recipe will make the equivalent of a 14-ounce can.
Difficulty: Easy
Time Required: 5 minutes

Here's How:

  1. Pour 1/2 cup of boiling water into a blender.
  2. Add 1 cup of nonfat dry milk.
  3. Add 2/3 cup sugar.
  4. Add 3 tablespoons of melted butter.
  5. Add a few drops of vanilla.
  6. Cover and blend on high speed for 30 seconds or until smooth.
  7. Remove from the blender.
  8. Use in a recipe immediately or store in a covered container in the refrigerator.

Tips:

  1. A food processor may be used to blend the ingredients.

What You Need:

  • Blender
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup nonfat dry milk
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
