Ingredients:
- 2 lbs. lean boneless round steak 1/2-inch thick
- 12 medium carrot sticks
- 6 medium dill pickle spears
- 6 slices bacon, partially cooked
- 3/4 c. Catalina French dressing
- 1 cup water
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 tablespoons flour
Preparation:
Cut steak into 6 portions; pound to flatten. Wrap 1 piece of steak around 2 carrot sticks, 1 pickle spear and 1 slice of bacon. Secure with toothpick. Repeat to make 6 roll ups. Place in pan and brown in just enough oil to keep from sticking. Quickly add dressing and heat over low heat. Add 3/4 water and onions. Add rest of water and bring to boil. Cover and simmer for 45 minutes until steak is tender. Remove steak to warm plate and stir in the flour to the juices. Add more water if needed for gravy. Pour over steak rolls.
