Buttermilk Biscuit Recipe

Here's a buttermilk biscuit recipe from our forum. Scroll down to see more biscuit recipes.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 1 pk yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 3/4 cups vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 5 cups or more all-purpose flour(please don't use self-rising)

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Need a large bowl with a lid. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Mix yeast mixture, buttermilk, sugar, and oil in a large bowl. Mix. Add baking powder, soda, salt and flour. Mix all together. Take out what you need and refrigate the rest up to a week. Roll out and put biscuits on a ungreased pan. Bake until brown. Enjoy!!
