INGREDIENTS:
PREPARATION:Mix together cream cheese and salad dressing
until well blended; divide mixture in half. Stir red peppers,
walnuts, hot pepper sauce and garlic powder into one half cream
cheese mixture until well blended. Stir pesto into remaining cream
cheese mixture. For each appetizer, spread 1 teaspoon red pepper
spread diagonally on one half of one bread slice; spread 1 teaspoon
pesto spread on remaining half. Sprinkle olives diagonally down
center of bread to separate spreads. Repeat with remaining bread
slices, spreads and olives. 3 dozen. *To toast nuts, spread out in a single layer on a baking sheet. Toast in a 350° oven, stirring occasionally, for 10 to 15 minutes. Or, toast in an ungreased skillet over medium heat, stirring, until golden brown and aromatic.
