From Ness, this easy crockpot pepper steak is made with lean stew beef, peppers, spaghetti sauce, and other ingredients.
INGREDIENTS:
2 lbs. lean stew beef, cut into chunks (can be bought this way from the store for convenience)
1 can or jar of spaghetti sauce (Hunt's works well)
1 small or medium onion, thin sliced
1 large green or red pepper, sliced into 1/2" strips
2 teaspoons of Kitchen Bouquet or Gravy Master (or use 2 beef bouillon cubes in a pinch)
PREPARATION:
Mix everything together; cook 6-8 hours on low, and
serve over cooked mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.
Freeze any extra for another meal (it freezes well)! Serves 6.
