Ground Beef and Rice Curry

Crockpot ground beef curry with rice and apples and ground beef and tomatoes.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 cup converted rice
  • 1 28 oz can tomatoes, cut up
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 2 apples, peeled, cored and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon curry powder
  • 1 clove garlic, smashed and minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

PREPARATION:

In a large skillet, brown the beef with the onion. Drain excess fat. Put the ground beef and onions in a 3 1/2 quart slow cooker and add the remaining ingredients. Mix well. Cover and cook on low 4 hours.
