Cook Time: 25 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 pound sweet onions, sliced into rings and separated (Vidalia or other type of sweet onions)
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- paprika
Preparation:
Place onion slices in a medium saucepan; cover with water. Bring to a boil; boil for 1 minute. Drain onions; transfer to an 8-inch square baking dish. In a small bowl combine egg, cream, salt and pepper; pour mixture over onions. Sprinkle with cheese and paprika. Bake for 25 minutes at 350°.Onion Casserole Recipe serves 6.
