Flavorful Salisbury steaks, made with ground beef and onion soup mix.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 envelope dry onion soup mix, divided
  • 1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons oil or shortening
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms, drained (4 ounces)
