Ham is broiled then served with rice and cheese mixture.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 6 fully-cooked ham steaks, about 1/2-inch thick
  • 4 cups hot cooked rice
  • 1 cup shredded milk Cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions, with tops
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

PREPARATION:

Slash edges of ham slices in several places to prevent curling. Broil ham 2 inches from heat for 3 to 4 minutes on each side. In a large bowl, combine hot rice with cheese, green onion, parsley and salt; toss gently to mix. Arrange rice on a platter; top with ham slices.
