Macaroni and Ham Skillet

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup sliced celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube or equivalent base or granules
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 package Kraft macaroni and cheese dinner mix (about 7 1/2 ounces)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups leftover cooked cubed ham

PREPARATION:

In a skillet combine water, onion, celery, green pepper, bouillon, dry mustard, and macaroni portion of macaroni and cheese dinner mix - save sauce mix for a later step. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer, stirring occasionally, until macaroni is tender, about 6 or 7 minutes. Stir in the cheese sauce mix from the macaroni and cheese dinner mix. Stir in milk and ham. Cover and continue cooking until mixture is heated through, about 10 minutes.
Macaroni and ham skillet serves 4.
