Ingredients:
- 3 large sweet onions, thinly sliced, about 5 cups sliced
- 3/4 cup round buttery cracker crumbs
- 1 pound bulk pork sausage, cooked and drained
- 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
- 1 (2-ounce) jar diced pimiento, drained
- 1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1/2 cup (2 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation:
Arrange onions in a lightly greased 12x8x2-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with cracker crumbs. Combine remaining ingredients except cheese; spoon over onions. Cover and bake at 400° for 30 minutes. Uncover and sprinkle with cheese; bake an additional 5 minutes.Sausage onion casserole serves 6.
