Serve this shrimp recipe with rice, toast points, or patty shells.
INGREDIENTS:
2 pounds shrimp, shelled and deveined
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 green onions, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 can (about 1 pound ) Peas, undrained
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon soy sauce
3 tablespoons cold water
toast points or hot cooked rice
PREPARATION:
Wash and dry shrimps. Heat vegetable oil in heavy skillet; add shrimps and brown quickly. Add the onion, garlic, ginger and peas; simmer very gently 5 minutes. Make a smooth paste of the cornstarch, sugar, salt, soy sauce and water. Add to shrimp mixture very gradually; cook, stirring until thick. Serve on toast or rice. Shrimp recipe serves 6.
