Tangy Hamburgers

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 pound ground chuck or lean ground beef
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning or thyme

PREPARATION:

Shape ground chuck into 4 patties about 1/2 inch thick. Dip patties in 1/4 cup of fresh lemon juice.

Blend melted butter, 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice, and poultry seasoning; brush over patties. Broil for 6 to 7 minutes on one side. Turn, baste with butter and lemon juice mixture, and broil 3 minutes or until meat has browned.
Makes 4 hamburgers.
