INGREDIENTS:
PREPARATION:In mixing bowl, sift together flour, the 2 tablespoons sugar,
baking powder, and salt; stir in cornmeal. Blend egg, milk, and oil; add to dry ingredients. Beat just until smooth. Spread batter in greased 9-inch pie plate; spoon preserves over batter. Sprinkle with the remaining sugar. Bake in 425° oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
