Barbecued Beans with Beef

Serve coleslaw and bread or cornbread with these barbecued beans for a hearty family meal.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cans (about 15 1/2 ounces each) pork and beans
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Tabasco sauce

Preparation:

Brown ground beef and onions; pour off excess fat. Add remaining ingredients; pour into a 1 1/2-quart casserole. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Serves 6.
