Cook Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
- 4 to 6 medium pears, firm, ripe
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon red hots
Preparation:
Wash pears. Leaving stems on, peel to within 1 inch of bottom. Stand pears in a deep baking dish.
Combine sugar and water; pour over pears. Sprinkle with cinnamon candies. Cover and bake at 375°, basting every 10 minutes, for 30 to 40 minutes, or until pears are tender. Serve warm with cream or ice cream.
Pear dessert serves 4 to 6.
