This country omelet recipe features a delicious combination of eggs, cheddar cheese, and green onion.

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs

  • 1/3 cup milk

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 dash freshly ground black pepper

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onion

Steps to Make It

  1. Gather the ingredients.

  2. Beat eggs until fluffy.

  3. Whisk in 1/3 cup milk, salt, Worcestershire sauce, and pepper.

  4. Heat butter in a heavy 10-inch skillet over low heat; pour in egg mixture.

  5. Cook slowly, lifting at the edge to allow uncooked egg to run underneath. When the omelet is almost cooked but still shiny, cover and continue cooking until the surface dries, about 2 minutes.

  6. Top with cheese and chopped green onion; fold in half.
