Ingredients:
- 1 smoked boneless pork shoulder (butt), about 2 1/2 pounds
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
Preparation:
Simmer smoked shoulder, covered, in water to cover in a large stockpot or kettle for 1 1/2 hours, or until tender; drain. Transfer pork to a shallow baking pan. In a small bowl, blend sugar with molasses and spices; brush half over meat. Bake pork at 325° for 20 minutes: brush with remaining molasses mixture and bake 25 minutes longer, or until nicely glazed.Glazed smoked shoulder pork recipe serves 6.
