These sesame wafers are flavored with a little cayenne and sharp Cheddar.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup margarine, soft
- 8 ounces shredded sharp cheddar cheese, room temperature
- 1 3/4 to 3 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cayenne pepper
- 2 teaspoons sesame seeds or caraway seeds
- 1 cup very finely chopped pecans
Preparation:
Combine margarine and cheese; stir in remaining ingredients until a soft dough is formed -- less for drop dough or more for a stiffer dough for logs. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a cookie sheet or roll into 3 logs
and chill until firm. Slice and bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20
minutes or until lightly browned.
