Avocado Dip With Sour Cream Recipe

There's much more you can do with an avocado beyond turning it into guacamole. A perfectly ripe avocado makes for an excellent dip. This is an easy avocado dip, delicious with tortilla chips or crackers. Use it to make a dip for entertaining or a side-dish for your next party dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 large ripe avocados, peeled and pits removed

  • 16 ounces sour cream

  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped

  • 3 green onions, chopped

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

  • A few drops of Tabasco or other hot sauce

Steps to Make It

  1. Cut avocados into pieces; place in a food processor with sour cream, chopped tomatoes, green onion, lime juice, and hot sauce.

  2. Cover and process until smooth.

  3. Chill thoroughly and serve the avocado dip with crackers, crusty bread, or vegetable dippers.
