INGREDIENTS:
PREPARATION:Spread half of the apple slices in a buttered 9-inch square baking dish. Combine mincemeat, chopped nuts, dates, and chocolate chips. Spread mixture over apples then pour cranberry juice over all.
In a bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and butter, mixing with fingertips until crumbly. Sprinkle over mixture in baking pan. Bake at 350° for 55 to 60 minutes, or until apples are tender. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
