Apple Cookies

Apple drop cookies are made with brown sugar and sour cream, along with chopped apples and raisins.

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups sifted flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 cup finely chopped unpeeled apples

Preparation:

Cream butter with sugars; beat in egg and vanilla. Sift together the dry ingredients then add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream, raisins, and chopped apples. Drop cookie dough by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 12 to 15 minutes.
Makes about 3 dozen apple cookies.
