Cinnamon applesauce, cooked in the slow cooker.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups tart cooking apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Preparation:

In a 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker, combine the apples, brown sugar, and lemon juice, stirring to coat the apple slices.

Cover and cook on HIGH for 3 hours, or until the apples are very tender. Mash and stir in the cinnamon. Serve warm or cold. Makes about 3 1/2 to 4 cups.

EASY EASY EASY!October 07, 2007By AmyMart
"This is probably the easiest recipe I have ever made! Very good & Very flavorful! We went apple picking and I used a mixture of the apples we had picked. Some tart and some sweet. I also doubled the recipe and once it cooked down it filled a large Ball jar."
