Bacon and Dijon mustard compliment the asparagus flavor perfectly. This asparagus is first roasted, steamed, or blanched, then the spears are quickly sauteed with a tasty bacon and mustard mixture.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 20 minutes

Yield: Serves 4


  • 1 pound asparagus, trimmed
  • 3 strips bacon
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • salt and pepper, to taste


Steam, blanch, or roast the asparagus until just tender. 

In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until just crisp. Remove to paper towels to drain, then crumble.

Add the asparagus to the skillet. Add the mustard and crumbled bacon to the asparagus; toss to coat. Cook just until heated through.

Serves 4.
