Cooked asparagus is served with a tasty cheese sauce with a sprinkling of crumbled bacon.

Ingredients:

  • 1 to 1 1/2 pounds fresh asparagus, cooked and drained
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shredded American or mild Cheddar cheese
  • 4 to 6 slices crisp cooked bacon
