Deviled Chicken

This chicken recipe is made with chicken parts and a tasty homemade sauce.

Cook Time: 60 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 (appr. 3 lbs) broiler chicken, cut up, or equivalent chicken parts

Preparation:

In a small bowl, combine ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard and water; stir to blend well. Heat oil in a large skillet; add chicken and brown well on both sides, about 15 minutes. Remove chicken to a shallow baking pan. Pour off fat in skillet; add ketchup sauce mixture, stirring to loosen browned particles in bottom of pan. Pour sauce over the chicken. Cover with foil and bake in preheated 350° oven for 30 minutes. Remove foil; continue to bake until chicken is tender, about 10 to 15 minutes longer.
Deviled chicken recipe serves 4.
