Sesame Chicken Recipe is baked with a sesame seed coating and melted butter.

Cook Time: 1 hour, 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cup finely ground cracker crumbs (about 15 crackers)
  • 1/4 cup toasted sesame seeds*
  • 1 chicken, broiler, about 3 pounds, cut up, or chicken pieces for 3 to 4 people
  • 1/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup melted butter

Preparation:

Combine cracker crumbs and sesame seeds. Dip chicken pieces into evaporated milk then roll in the sesame seed mixture. Pour melted butter into a shallow baking dish (chicken should fit in one layer). Dip skin side of chicken pieces in the butter, turn over and arrange in baking dish skin side up. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for about 1 1/2 hours, or until chicken is done and juices run clear. Garnish with sprigs of parsley, if desired.
Sesame Chicken Recipe serves 3 to 4.
*To toast sesame seeds, spread out in a single layer on a baking sheet. Toast in a 350° oven, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes. Or, toast in an ungreased skillet over medium heat, stirring, until golden brown and aromatic.
