  • 2 tablespoons bacon fat or lard

Not really authentic frijoles recipe, Member TexReefmonkey

Adding bacon to frijoles is kind of cheating. Anyone can make just about anything taste better with bacon. Traditional mexican beans, frijoles de la olla, are very simple - pinto beans, salt, water, garlic cloves, and epazote leaves.
