Coffee-Chocolate Drink

This festive drink is made with coffee, chocolate syrup, and spices.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon instant coffee
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 6 tablespoons chocolate syrup
  • hot coffee
  • cinnamon sticks

Preparation:

Combine the cream, instant coffee, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg; chill thoroughly, about 3 to 4 hours. Whip until stiff. Put 1 tablespoon of chocolate syrup in each of 6 mugs. Fill mugs with hot coffee; stir to mix. Top each mug of coffee with a generous spoonful of spiced whipped cream. Use cinnamon sticks for stirrers.
Makes 6 servings.
