Sangria Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 10-oz pkg frozen strawberries in juice, thawed
  • 2 cups water
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 navel orange, sliced
  • 1 large lemon, sliced
  • 4 tea bags
  • 2 cups red wine
  • 2 cups lemon-lime soda

Preparation:

Pureé strawberries in blender or food mill. Combine water and sugar in a saucepan; bring to a boil, stirring, until sugar is dissolved. Add fruit slices; boil 1 minute. Remove saucepan from heat; add tea bags. Cover saucepan and let stand 5 minutes. Remove tea bags; let cool. Combine the tea mixture, red wine, and strawberries in a pitcher; chill. Gently stir in the lemon-lime soda. Serve right away. Makes 2 quarts.
