  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • dash salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons cream
  • vanilla, to taste

fine quick fix, Member triedthis

This is not something I would eat straight out of the jar. Wicked sweet, like eating straight brown sugar. However, as a topping, a touch is great. I tried it out on vanilla ice cream, added salty nutz and some of this topping and it was fine. I'll look for a recipe that tastes more like caramel, though, as opposed to liquid sugar.
