INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 loaf French or Italian bread
  • butter, softened
  • garlic powder
  • dried parsley

PREPARATION:

Using a serrated knife, cut bread in half lengthwise. Spread halves with soft butter and sprinkle lightly with garlic powder and parsley. Cut bread, without cutting all the way through, into 1-inch strips. Put the loaf halves back together. Wrap in heavy foil and refrigerate until about 30 minutes before serving time. Open the foil and separate halves. Heat on foil in a 425° oven for 10 minutes, or until lightly browned. Separate pieces for serving.
