Ingredients:
- 7 slices white bread, crust removed
- 1 pound ground sausage
- 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 2 cups half and half or milk
Preparation:
In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, salt, dry mustard, and the milk until well blened. Pour egg mixture over bread, sausage and cheese. Cover pan with foil and refrigerate overnight.
Remove from refrigerator and let stand for 15 to 20 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°. Remove foil from pan. Bake casserole for 45 minutes or until
casserole is bubbly and lightly browned on top. A knife inserted into the center should come out clean.
Let stand for 15 to 20 minutes after baking.
