Crunchy Broccoli Salad with Ramen Noodles

This is a popular broccoli salad made with Ramen noodles and a seasoned sweet and sour dressing. Thanks to Holly for sharing the recipe.


  • 1 pound broccoli slaw (sold in a bag in the produce department)
  • 1 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 2 packages beef Ramen noodles
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • cayenne pepper (a few shakes)


In a large bowl, combine broccoli slaw, sunflower seeds, and chopped onions. Make dressing from the seasoning packets from the 2 packages beef Ramen noodles and pour dressing over salad; crumble the Ramen noodles and serve on top of each serving.

Love it but with half the sugar, Member kk_lady

This does not need so much sugar. I make it with half the amount and it's still delicious. I also make it with only one pkg of noodles, I put the noodles in a couple hours before serving. Make sure you add the noodle mix to the oil and vinegar and sugar mixture and let it sit a bit. I use the oriental ramen, haven't tried the beef. I use a 10 oz bag of broccoli slaw and 1/4 shredded head of cabbage.
