Cook Time: 25 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup shortening
- 2 squares (2 ounces) unsweetened chocolate
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Preparation:
In a saucepan over low heat, melt shortening and chocolate, stirring constantly; cool. Beat in vanilla and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Sift flour and salt together; add to saucepan mixture. Stir in chopped walnuts and blend well. Spoon into a greased and floured 8-inch square pan.Bake at 325° for about 25 minutes.
