Toffee squares, Member Barney3

These bars were yummy and fairly easy but the recipe could contain a little more information. It says 20 minutes total but the cooking time of the shortbread is 20 minutes and the cooking time of the condensed milk mixtures is likely more than 20 minutes. While the baking and the cooking of the condensed milk mixture can be done simultaneously. It seems that the mixture should be cooled before even starting the chocolate. For a novice I didn't understand how to determine when done. I did get it when it happened but some more information would have been helpful. Also, I had no experience with melting chocolate to be used in this manner. I could have used some guidance there too. I am going to make again. If anyone has tips I would love to hear them.
