Brown Rice with Mushrooms and Bell Pepper

This brown rice makes a tasty side dish with just about any meal. It's a simple recipe with mushrooms, onion, and bell pepper for flavor.

Cook Time: 12 minutes

Total Time: 12 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green pepper
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 can or jar (4 ounces) mushroom pieces
  • 3 cups cooked brown rice
  • 3/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Preparation:

In a skillet over medium low heat, melt butter.

Cook chopped onion and green bell pepper in butter for 4 to 6 minutes, until the onion is lightly browned.

Add remaining ingredients; cook for 4 to 6 minutes, until hot

Serves 4.
