Yield: Makes About 2 Dozen Cookies
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar, plus more for rolling the finished cookies
- 8 ounces butter, softened
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 scant teaspoon vanilla extract
Beat 1/2 cup powdered sugar and butter until smooth. Add the salt, flour, and vanilla, mixing until well blended.
Shape dough into small balls and bake on ungreased baking sheets for 10 to 15 minutes. Roll cookies in more powdered sugar while still slightly warm.
Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
