This easy malted milk cake starts with a cake mix. With malted milk powder and a ready-to-spread frosting, it's simple and flavorful.
- 1 package white cake mix (plus ingredients to make cake)
- 3/4 cup malted milk powder, divided
- 1 can (16 ounces) ready-to-spread vanilla frosting
Preheat oven according to cake mix package directions. Grease and flour two 9-inch layer cake pans. In a large mixing bowl, combine cake mix with 1/2 cup of the malted milk powder. Prepare cake mix (with malted milk powder) according to package directions. Spoon into prepared pans. Bake and cool according to package directions.
Stir remaining 1/4 cup malted milk powder into the ready-to-spread frosting. Fill and frost cooled cake.
