Vanilla:

Vanilla is a popular flavoring which comes from orchids. The original vanilla orchids are native to Mexico, but subspecies are now grown in Madagascar, the West Indies, Indonesia, China, and many other areas of the world.

Vanilla used in cooking is available as an extract, in powder form, whole pods, and vanilla bean paste.
