Chocolate Rum Candies

Chocolate candy is made quick and easy with marshmallows and chocolate chips, along with oats, butter, and rum extract and pecans.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 2 cups quick oats
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons rum extract
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped pecans

Preparation:

In a saucepan over low heat, melt marshmallows, chocolate chips, and butter together, stirring frequently until smooth. Stir in oats and rum extract. Spread in a buttered 8-inch square pan. Sprinkle with chopped nuts. Chill to set; cut into squares. Store in a covered container in a cool, dry place.
