Ingredients:
- 2 Cups Butter
- 2 Cups sugar
- 2 Cups walnuts, Chopped
- 1/4 cup water
- 6oz. pkg. semisweet chocolate bits
- 2 tbls. light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup walnuts, finely chopped
Preparation:
Grease cookie sheet and set aside. Melt butter over low heat. Add sugar and stir until sugar is dissolved. Add water and corn syrup. Continue cooking until mixture reaches soft crack stage (290° on a candy thermometer). Remove from the heat and stir in nuts. Pour onto prepared cookie sheet and let stand until firm. Melt chocolate over hot water and spread evenly on candy. Sprinkle with finely chopped nuts and let stand until firm. Break into pieces.
