Carrots with Butter and Seasonings


These carrots are cooked with just a little sugar, butter, and seasonings.

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Total Time: 20 minutes


  • 5 medium carrots, thinly sliced on diagonal
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter


Cook carrots in a small amount of boiling water with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1 tablespoon sugar until tender, about 20 minutes. Drain and toss with 2 tablespoons butter.

Serves 4 to 6.
