Easy, No Bake Chocolate Cheesecake

An easy chocolate cheesecake pie, made with melted chocolate chips, sugar, cream cheese, and butter, mixed with whipped topping and chilled in a graham cracker crust. 

This is an excellent summer dessert, and it's a snap to prepare.


  • 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 11 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 cups frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 graham cracker pie crust, purchased or homemade
  • more whipped topping or whipped cream for topping
  • shaved milk chocolate, optional


Melt chocolate chips over low heat in saucepan or microwave, stirring frequently until smooth and melted. Set aside to cool.

In large mixer bowl beat cream cheese, sugar and butter until smooth. On low speed blend in the melted chocolate. Fold in whipped topping until blended. Spoon cheese chocolate filling mixture into prepared graham cracker crust. Cover and chill until firm. Garnish with whipped topping and shaved chocolate, if desired.

I have been making this pie for my family and my husband's family for the last 3 Thanksgivings and I get complimented EVERY Year! My mother in law actually has asked me to make her a lower calorie version. It turns out Ok. you have to freeze the pie to get it to get really firm. I just use low fat cream cheese and whipped topping in place of the regular stuff. This has definatly become a holiday favorite for us.
