Cook Time: 45 minutes
Ingredients:
- 6 slices bread -- remove crusts
- 1/2 pound sharp Cheddar cheese -- shredded
- 4 eggs -- lightly beaten
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- salt and pepper -- to taste
- butter
Preparation:
Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Line the bottom of the casserole with the bread slices; cover with the cheese. Mix the eggs with milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Pour over bread and cheese. Dot with butter. Set the baking dish in a pan of hot water and bake for 45 to 55 minutes at 350°.Serves 6.
