Dried Beef Cheese Ball Recipe


This cheese ball recipe is an old favorite, made with dried beef, cream cheese, and Cheddar. A little horseradish adds some zip to this tasty cheese ball. 

Shape the mixture into a ball or log shape and arrange crackers around it.


  • 2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese, room temperature
  • 3 ounces cream cheese with chives, room temperature
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • 1 teaspoon prepared horseradish
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped dried beef


In mixing bowl combine Cheddar and cream cheese, wine, and horseradish. Beat with a hand-held electric mixer until well blended. Cover and chill for 2 hours.

Shape cheese mixture into a ball or log shape. Roll in the finely chopped beef. Wrap in clear plastic wrap; refrigerate until serving time. Serve with assorted crackers.

Store in a  tightly covered container  in the refrigerator.
