Cheese Ball with Pecans

This easy cheese ball is made with a chopped pecan coating. Serve with your favorite crackers.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 cups (16 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

PREPARATION:

Combine first cheese, pecans, mayonnaise, chopped onion, pepper, and cayenne pepper in a large mixing bowl; beat at low speed of an electric mixer until well blended. Shape mixture into a ball and roll in 1/2 cup chopped pecans. Chill for about 2 hours. Serve with assorted crackers.
Makes one cheese ball, about 5 inches in diameter.
