Mini Cheddar Cheese Balls

Mini Cheddar cheese balls, made with Cheddar cheese, cream cheese, herbs and spices, and chopped pecans.

Ingredients:

  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 8 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt blend
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper or a few dashes Tabasco sauce
  • 1/3 cup each finely chopped pecans and toasted sesame seeds

Preparation:

In a large bowl, beat the cheeses, mustard, paprika, seasoned salt, Worcestershire sauce, and cayenne or pepper sauce until well blended and smooth. Refrigerate until firm enough to handle. Shape heaping tablespoonfuls of the cheese mixture into 2-inch balls. Roll balls in chopped pecans and sesame seeds until thoroughly coated. Serve with crackers.
Makes about 18 small cheese balls.

"I made this recipe to take to two different Super Bowl parties. I also 6x's it so there would be enough for 2 big crowds. It was so terrible that I couldn't bring myself to bring it. Had to throw the whole thing out. It tasted terrrible and smelled just as bad. Forget it."
