This tasty chicken casserole was shared on our forum by Miz Suzi. It's made with diced cooked chicken and cheeses, along with crushed Dorito chips for topping.

Ingredients:

  • 2 to 3 cups diced cooked chicken
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/4 cup finely minced onion
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 bag (medium size) bag of Doritos, crushed

Preparation:

Grease or spray a 2-quart casserole dish. Cover bottom of casserole with half of the crushed Doritos. Mix all other ingredients , except cheese ,and place on Doritos. Put remainder of crushed Doritos on top of this. Add cheese on top. Ready to bake ! Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.

Dry but has potential, Member MIckfenny

I looked up this recipe because a friend of mine told me she had a good Dorito recipe and I couldn't get a hold of her before I needed to bake it. This sounded similar but when I made it it was very dry. When I asked her for her recipe she said that hers is the same recipe but calls for a can of Rotel tomatoes, a green pepper and an extra can of cream of chicken soup. She serves it over rice. I think that even if you just added an extra can of cream of mushroom and 1/2 c of water it would do the job.
