Prep Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teasoon salt
- 1 cup butter, soft
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 package (12 ounces), semisweet chocolate morsels, or about 2 cups
- 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
Preparation:
Combine flour, baking soda, and salt; stir and set aside. In a large mixing bowl cream butter with sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla until well blended and light. Stir in flour mixture with a spoon; stir in chocolate chips and chopped nuts. Shape cookie dough into 1-inch balls. Place about 2 inches apart on lightly greased baking sheets. BAke at 350° for about 15 minutes, or until flat and browned. Cool completelly on the baking sheets. Store in airtight containers. Makes about 4 dozen chocolate chip cookies.
